In the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy department the guiding principles for teaching, learning and assessment include academically and clinically rigorous and relevant content and lifelong learning skills. These skills include clinical reasoning and problem solving; assessment and diagnosis; & decision making. The modular syllabus of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy has emphasis on evidence-based practice & research. Students are trained in the application of preventive and management programs based on basic, behavioural, medical and physiotherapeutic sciences. Post-graduate students get an opportunity to develop advanced research skills and are encouraged to actively participate in clinical effectiveness, evaluation and departmental research.
Program learning Outcomes include Physiotherapy specific skills, generic skills, transferable global skills and competencies that prepare the student for employment, higher education, and research thereby developing students as contributing members for overall benefit to the society.
